If Varanasi is the spiritual capital of India and Agra (seat of Taj Mahal) is country’s tourist capital, then, Khajuraho can easily be termed the capital of eroticism of India. Khajuraho boasts of having a multitude of temples where artists have been able to sculpt with complete freedom the wildest fantasies of their imagination. The sculptures of nymphs, deities, animals, musicians and naked women are found on entire sections of walls. Built more than 1000 years ago, the 25 temples are real masterpieces. A visit to Khajuraho is highly recommended. Though the sightseeing of Khajuraho can be done in one day but devoting two days is more realistic. During winter season, the prices of hotels are at their peak while in summer and monsoon seasons, the price of accommodation slides down. During summer, the shops remain closed for few hours during the day time.
