Majorda Beach is relatively quieter and has serene atmosphere compared to the bustling beaches in North Goa. This pristine stretch of coastline is renowned for its golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and a plethora of activities that cater to every kind of traveler. The beach is named after the Majorda village, which is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality. Majorda holds historical significance as the Jesuits, in the past, unearthed the finest toddy in Goa, utilizing it for bread leavening. Presently, Majorda residents are renowned as the premier bakers in Goa, being pioneers in the craft of baking European breads. Additionally, a local legend suggests that Lord Ram was once abducted and brought to this area as a child. However, he successfully escaped to the site where the Cabo-de-Rama Fort stands today.

Majorda Beach, one of the best beaches in Goa, is ideal for swimming with gentle waves. The beach is characterized by clear sky, turquoise blue water, soft sand, lush greenery, swaying palms, gentle slope, calm waves, immaculate shores, minimalistic shacks and fewer crowds, ideal for a peaceful stroll with your partner, family, or kids. This place is quite calm and ideal for sunbathing while lying under the palm trees. On the north side of the beach are many beach shacks for water sports activities. There are several popular hotels and resorts with all modern facilities in the vicinity of Majorda Beach. Also, there are many restaurants and beach shacks that offer tasty Goan dishes like sea food, drinks, etc. From beachside shacks serving fresh seafood to upscale restaurants offering a fusion of Goan and international cuisines, visitors can indulge in a gastronomic journey by the sea. The clean, clear water of the beach is perfect for water sports activities and swimming. It is an enchanting place for other hobbies like reading books, lounging on the velvety sand etc. It is a pleasant beach holiday destination for honeymoon couples and adventure fads. Majorda Beach is mostly frequented by the foreigners, offering a more secluded experience. Its surroundings offer limited shopping options.
