Best Time to Visit Bhubaneswar

Historical city of Bhubaneswar is capital of Odisha. It is located in eastern part of India. Though the winter season is considered to be the best time to visit Bhubaneswar but the tourists keep coming to Bhubaneswar round the year, as per their convenience. Bhubaneswar is a sprawling city growing rapidly. The railway line runs through the middle of the city. Due to its many temples in extravagant Odishan style, Bhubaneswar is also known as the temple town. The capital city of Odisha is divided into old and new parts. At one time, the Bindusagar Lake had over 7000 temples around it and today, there are only about 500 temples and most of these are in a decadent state. The famous among these is the Lingaraj Temple , which is one of the most important temples in India. Among many famous temples in Bhubaneswar are Rajarani Temple , Parashurameshvar Temple and Mukteshvara Temple . Udayagiri & Khandagiri caves are excellent examples of carving, engravings and sculptures. Nandan Kanan, tribal & archaeological museums, various parks and markets are also visited in large numbers.
