Historical and religious monuments are prominent tourist attractions in Ayodhya. Temples, riverfronts, ‘mutts’ and ‘akharas’ are the most coveted places to visit in Ayodhya. Having great significance as cultural and religious center, Ayodhya is a pilgrimage of the Hindu. Ayodhya is birth place of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It’s an ancient historical city, founded by sage Manu who introduced the Hindu several thousand years back with laws. Maharaj Prithu is also said to have ruled this city.
