2 kms from Shimla, at a height of 8000 m, Jakhoo Hill is the highest peak and offers a beautiful view of snow-covered city and Himalayas. Walk or take a rickshaw from the 'Scandal Point' for the Jakhoo Hill that dominates the city. At the top of the hill is a shrine of Lord Hanuman, guarded by a troop of monkeys who would become friendly for a handful of grams. These countless mischievous monkeys keep waiting to be fed by all visitors. From here one can enjoy the magnificent view of the snow-clad Himalayan range on a clear morning.
