Day 2
Delhi sightseeing - Departure
Post breakfast, the second day sightseeing of Delhi will begin. Many architectural gems are part of this Delhi tour. Major tourist attractions included are Humayu’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, Lodi Garden, Qutub Minar complex and ISKCON temple. Humayu’s tomb is the first major monument that is identified as uniquely identifiable Mugha monument. Lotus Temple, a modern modument, is related to Bahai faith.
Lodi garden is a beautiful garden that houses several historical monuments of pre-Mughal Islamic rule. Qutub Minar, world’s highest stone-built minaret, is one of the iconic monument of Delhi. In this very complex, a seven meter high Iron Pillar, errected in 3rd century by King Chandra, is found. This Iron Pillar is rustless since ages and, thus, testimony to highest level of alchemy practised by ancient Indian ironsmiths. Depending upon your departure time, you will be taken ISKCON temple to participate in the evening aarti ceremony. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to airport/ railway station/ bus terminal/ hotel.
