Abu was known in Hindu legend as the son of the Himalayas and it was here that Vashishtha, the great sage of the epic period, established his ashram — something between a hermitage and a seat of learning. It was from out of his sacrificial fire that the four Rajput clans are said to have originated. Nakki Lake, Sunpoint, ancient caves, Hindu temples, natural beauty & buzzing bazaars are major tourist attractions in Mount Abu. Day 1 :

Arrival at Mount Abu

On arrival at Mount Abu , you will be welcomed by our representative and immediately transferred to pre-booked hotel to check-in and relax for a while. Enjoy the panoramic natural ambience of Mount Abu by roaming nearby the hotel.  

Late afternoon, you will be taken to the Nakki Lake. The lake and nearby region is popular tourist attraction in Mount Abu and has emerged as a picnic spot too. The Nakki Lake is studded with small islets. The Toad Rock presents the outline of a giant toad ready to jump into the waters below. This lake derives its name from the legend that it was created by the gods who, presumably thirsty, dug it out with their nails for which the word in Sanskrit is ‘nakh’ (नख). A number of temples and the cave-dwellings of ascetics skirt its banks. Enjoy boat ride in the lake.

After visiting Nakki Lake, explore local colorful market while proceeding for observing sunset. During dusk time, you will be taken to Sunset Point to watch the beauty of molten red sun setting slowly into remote and deep horizon. Overnight stay is scheduled in Mount Abu hotel.

Day 2 :

Mount Abu Sightseeing

After enjoying scrumptious breakfast in the hotel, proceed on to explore several tourist attractions in Mount Abu. You will be first taken to Guru Shikhar, the highest peak in the singular hill resort of the desert state of Rajasthan. Guru Shikhar offers enchanting and panoramic view of the town and valley. Guru Shikhar derives its name from Guru Dattatreya, one of the forms of Hindu Trinity – Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu & Lord Shiva. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Dattatreya on the peak and is unfailing visited by the faithful.

Hereinafter, proceed to visit Dilwara temples , built during 11th – 13th century. High up in the steep valleys between the rocky peaks are five Jain shrines. Among these the Vimal Vasahi Temple and the Tejpal Temple have made the fame of Mount Abu. For ornamental skill in intricate stone works, and as pieces of architectural virtuosity, they stand by themselves in the history of stone-carving. These Dilwara Jain temples are considered as pilgrimage among the Jain faithful.

After sightseeing of Mount Abu, come back to the hotel to spend evening in leisure and have overnight stay.

Departure

After leisurely breakfast, pack your baggage and check-out from the hotel. You will be in-time transferred to Mount Abu railway station.

We would require 50% advance payment to secure your bookings and process the file. We accept bank transfers and payment by credit cards through PAYPAL international payment gateway only. Balance amount needs to be paid on arrival in India by cash, Traveller’s Cheques or credit cards. All credit card payments are subject to 4.88% bank fees.

Cancellation Terms:

50% cancellation if cancelled within 45 days.

75% cancellation if cancelled within 30 days.

100% cancellation if cancelled 15 day or less.
