Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

You will be greeted at airport by our representative and taken to pre-booked hotel for rest and relaxation. Get acclimatized to new cultural and geographical ambience. Have overnight stay in Delhi hotel.

Day 2

Delhi tour

After breakfast, guided tour of Delhi sightseeing will be conducted. It will certainly make an indelible mark of old world charm on your psyche. During Mughal rule, Delhi was called as Shahjahanabad but the history of Delhi dates back to the time of Mahabhrata when it was known as Indraprastha. Though Delhi has chequered and tumultuous past but it, in turn, enriches Delhi with large number of monuments. The sightseeing tour commences with visit to Laxmi Narayan Temple (a Hindu temple) & Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a Sikh temple in central Delhi. Next destination is old Delhi, known for Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandani Chowk. The topping on the ice will be ' a short rickshaw ride' in the narrow alleys of 400 years old Chandni Chowk. Thereafter, you will be visiting prominent tourist attractions like Parliament House, Presidential House, India Gate, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple & Qutub Minar. Parliament House, Presidential House and India Gate are seen from a distance. Out of all these monuments, Lotus Temple is the newest one but attracts your attention. The Lotus Temple is one of the newest architectural masterpieces. It belongs to Bahai faith, the youngest religion. Another interesting monument is Humayun' Tomb, the first mature example of Mughal architecture in India. Humayun's Tomb, built by Haji Begaum, had established a standard for all later Mughal monuments, which followed its design, most notably the Taj Mahal.

After full day sightseeing, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Delhi-Varanasi (by air)

Varanasi presents altogether a different landscape of cultural vibrancy and lifestyle. As Delhi is seat of India's political might, Varanasi is spiritual capital of India. Your visit of Varanasi will take you in the realm of religion, art, culture and spiritual learning. After breakfast, proceed to Delhi airport to get the flight for Varanasi, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Upon arrival in Varanasi, you will be transferred to designated hotel. After relaxing a bit, proceed on a guided sightseeing tour of Sarnath. Sarnath holds very important place in India's cultural, religious and civilization history. Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon in Sarnath, hence it is one of the four most revered pilgrimages of the Buddhists. Asoka's pillar, Dhamekh stupa, Dharmarajika stupa, remnants of mammoth monastery and excellent museum are prime attractions of Sarnath.

After Sarnath tour, move for Gadolia to watch out mesmerizing Ganga Aarti (Ganges Worship Ceremony) at Dashashwamedh Ghat. After enjoying traditional worship rituals of Ganges Aarti, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Varanasi tour - Khajuraho (by air)

It is said that the best essence of Varanasi can be found either on ghats or in temples. Today, early in the morning, you will be taken on Varanasi ghats tour. Varanasi ghats excursion will be by boating in the river Ganges. Religious Hindus in Varanasi commence their day by taking a holy dip in the Ganges and perform various rituals- from ablution to work-out. Viewing the ghats of Varanasi while having a boat ride in river Ganges alongside the ghats, especially during dawn hours, is an exotic and unforgettable experience!

Ghat tour is conducted early in the morning, to be precise, during dawn hours. After tour of ghats, return to Varanasi hotel, refresh and have lunch. Thereafter, check out from Varanasi hotel and move on for Varanasi temples tour, to visit famous temples of Varanasi like Kashi Vishwanath, Durga Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Tulasi Manas Temple and BHU. Day 5

Khajuraho-Orchha-Jhansi (by car) -Agra (by train)

After breakfast, depart for Agra. On the way to Agra and near Jhansi railway station is an ancient historical town, Orchha. Orchha, now –a- days a small hamlet in Bundelkhand region, was once capital of Bundela dynasty. Lying on the banks of river Betwa, Orchha is home to many architectural masterpieces like Raja Ram Mandir, Laxmi Narayana Mandir, Jehangir Palace, Raj Palace and Rani Praveen Palace. Orchha Fort has been unconquered bastion of Bundela kings.

After exploring Orchha, have lunch in a nice restaurant on the bank of river Betwa and proceed for Jhansi. Late afternoon, board train for Agra. Late evening, arrive at Agra to be received by our representative and to be transferred to pre-booked hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6

Agra tour

Though Agra has been an ancient city since the times of Mahabharata but, in context to present-day tourism, Agra is popularly known as seat of Taj Mahal. Agra, once the capital of the Mughals, is home to three UNESCO's World Heritage sites- Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur Sikri. Day 7

Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur

After breakfast, with unforgettable memories of Taj Mahal, depart for Jaipur. On the way, about 40 km from Agra is Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city of Mughal times. Akbar had decided to shift the capital from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri and built several grand buildings there. But soon he realized that Fatehpur Sikri can't be developed as capital of Mughal kingdom due to paucity of drinking water therein. Various monuments of Fatehpur Sikri are built of red sandstone. Visit Fatehpur Sikri and see several monuments like Buland Darwaja, Panch Mahal, Jodhabai Palace and shrine of Salim Chishti.

After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, continue your drive to Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur, check in at the pre-booked hotel. Jaipur was the first planned city of medieval India and built on grid pattern. Mammoth monuments, bustling market, rich culture, historical lineage of valour and exceptionally friendly people create collectively an exotically pleasant ambience for a visitor. Jaipur tour

Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. After breakfast, guided Jaipur tour will commence. Jaipur tour guide will meet you at Jaipur hotel's lobby in the morning and escort you to Amber Fort, a star tourist attraction of Jaipur. Day 9

Jaipur-Pushkar

After breakfast, depart for Udaipur. On the way, stop at Pushkar, a very prominent Hindu pilgrimage. The town is across the globe renowned for its Pushkar Fair. It is home to only temple of Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. Pushkar Lake is another holy place. Pushkar Lake, a semi-circular lake with 52 ghats, Brahma Temple, Pushkar Fair and rustic way of life are prime attractions of Pushkar. Religion being integral part of Indian way of life, exploration of Pushkar will unfurl many aspects of cultural life of India, particularly Rajasthan. Have lunch in lake side restaurant. Day 10

Udaipur tour

City Palace of Udaipur, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan and stunning buildings with highly decorated pavilions, palatial rooms, mesmerizing courtyards, latticed terraces, is located on the banks of Lake Pichola. Within the City Palace complex is situated Udaipur's biggest and most beautiful Jagdish Temple. The 'Zenana Mahal' within the palace complex has been converted into a fabulous museum.

Another worth visiting tourist destination of Udaipur is Jag Mandir Palace, built in yellow sandstone and marble. Its stunning beauty and architectural finesse can be gauged from the fact that Shah Jahan took several ideas, especially pieta dura work, from Jag Mandir Palace and implemented it in Taj Mahal. Also, watch out the eight statues of elephants which are carved out of white marble. Saheliyon ki Bari is another medieval place to visit while touring Udaipur.

Spend the day at leisure visiting local bustling market. Late afternoon, you will be taken to the Lake Pichola for boating and viewing Lake Palace or Jug Niwas. Lake Palace, the best example of Rajasthani architecture, is built of white marble amidst Lake Pichola on a natural rock foundation. The Lake Palace or Jag Niwas was built in 17th century. In the evening, visit Bagore ki Haveli to enjoy a puppet show and have delicious dinner.

Udaipur – Ranakpur -Jodhpur

After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur. On the way, stop at Rankapur, known across the globe for extremely beautiful Jain temple. Ranakpur Jain Temple is specimen of extraordinarily intricate engravings. Continue your journey towards Jodhpur, the ‘Blue City of Rajasthan’. It situated on the very edge of the Thar Desert. Jodhpur tour

Day 13

Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

As drive to Jaisalmer from Jodhpur takes almost 5 hours, you will be driven to Jaisalmer after breakfast. Though the whole Rajasthan is known as desert state but the best of actual desert is seen and experienced in Jaisalmer. The golden sand and sandstones make Jaisalmer 'Golden City'. The Jaisalmer Fort is also called as 'Golden Fort' (Sonar Qila). Most of the desert safaris originate from Jaisalmer and a camel safari in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer is an unforgettable experience.

On arrival at Jaisalmer, check in at the designated hotel for getting relaxed. Post lunch, move for local sightseeing of Jaisalmer which comprises various famous havelis like Nathmalji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli. Day 17

Ellora Sightseeing- Chennai (by air) – Mahabalipuram (by car)

After breakfast, Ellora tour will begin. Move for sightseeing of Ellora cave temples. The cave temples and monasteries of Ellora had been excavated in the 7th century. As Ajanta, Ellora Cave Temples are also UNESCO World Heritage site. Located 30 km from Aurangabad, there are 34 cave temples and monasteries, dedicated to Brahmanism, Jainism and Buddhism. The Ellora cave temples date back from 600 to 1000 AD.

After visiting Ellora cave temples, you will be transferred to Aurangabad airport to board Chennai-bound flight. On arrival at Chennai, you will be received and driven to Mahabalipuram. On arrival at Mahabalipuram, check in at the Mahabalipuram hotel for overnight stay.

Day 18

Mahabalipuram tour

After breakfast, proceed on guided sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram has a very vital place in the cultural and architectural heritage of India, particularly Tamil Nadu. Mahabalipuram means the City of Bali. Mahabalipuram is also known as Mamallapuram after Mamalla, who was responsible of creating the earliest monument under the reign of the Pallava king Narsimha Varman-I. This temple town is said to be at least 2000 years old. Mahabalipuram includes eleven excavated temples or 'manadapams', two open air bas reliefs including 'Arjuna's Penance' and one enclosed bas-relief shrine. Beside these, there is a unique monolithic stone chariot called 'ratha' cut out of a rock. There are five more 'rathas' along with three big sculptures of a Nandi, a lion and an elephant. A palace in ruins can also be seen nearby along with a temple.

Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram - Chennai

After breakfast, drive towards Kanchipuram. Enjoy the sightseeing tour of Kanchipuram, the 'City of Thousand Temples' and 'Kashi of South India'. The Kanchipuram sightseeing will comprise of Ekambaranathar Temple and Kailasanathar Temple.
