Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

Welcome to India! Your trip to Golden Triangle in North India is about to begin. Upon arrival at New Delhi, a representative of Optima Travels will be at the airport to greet you and accompany you to the hotel.

Day 2

Delhi tour

The day is scheduled for discovery of Delhi. After breakfast, along with Delhi tour guide, proceed on for Delhi exploration. Your first experience and exposure of India starts today. The sightseeing tour will commence with visit to Sikh temple- Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Old Delhi with Mughal era treasure of Red Fort, Jama Masjid & Chandani Chowk happens to be the next destination. All these three monuments were built by Shahjahan. After old Delhi, move to visit British colonial era monuments- India Gate (World War Martyrs’ Memorial), President House & Parliament building – from a distance. Have lunch in a nice restaurant and proceed for visiting Akshardham Temple. It is a modern temple built in classic Nagara style of architecture. The last monument to be visited is Qutub Minar. After exploring Delhi, return to hotel to spend evening in leisure and have overnight stay.

Day 3

Delhi – Agra – Agra tour

This morning, after breakfast you will head to Agra. Once there, enjoy a first glimpse of the majestic Taj Mahal. As a sign of love for his late wife, Shah Jahan built this magnificent white marble mausoleum. After visiting Taj Mahal, check in at the hotel. Relax a bit, have lunch and visit Agra Fort on the banks of River Yamuna. From its heights enjoy the breathtaking view of the Taj Mahal. Now you have enough time and thus opportunity to explore local market of Agra. Shopping in Agra is a nice experience. After exploring Agra, return to hotel to spend evening in leisure and have overnight stay.

Day 4

Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Abhaneri - Jaipur

After breakfast in Agra hotel, depart for Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. On the way to Jaipur, you will be exploring footsteps of history in Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri. Fatehpur Sikri is an hour drive from Agra and is known for well-kept Mughal era palatial buildings. Akbar had to leave the place due to paucity of water. Continue your drive to Jaipur. About 58 kms prior the Pink City is Abhaneri village, famous for Chand Baori and Harshat Mata Temple. Later in the evening, reach Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Jaipur city tour

After scrumptious breakfast, start your day in Jaipur with a visit to Amber Fort on the outskirts of the city. Amber, located 15 kms from Jaipur city, was once capital of Kachhwaha Rajput. Amber Fort is one of the prominent tourist attractions of Rajasthan, in particular Jaipur. Mammoth in size and strategic in architecture, Amber Fort is home to many magnificent buildings. Shish Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) is definitely a masterpiece. Most of the visitors are taken to the main gate at hilltop on an elephant’s back. Having seen Amber Fort, drive back to city centre. On the way to Jaipur city centre, stop in front of Jal Mahal (Water Palace) to have few pictures of the scenic beauty. Now move to visit the three iconic structures of Jaipur – City Palace, Jantar Mantar (astronomical solar observatory) and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Late afternoon, explore local market, worldwide known for its vibrancy and colors. Shopping in Jaipur is always an exhilarating experience. Early evening, you will be taken to Birla temple to attend deity worship. After exploring Jaipur, return to hotel to spend evening in leisure and have overnight stay.

Day 6

Jaipur - Mandawa

Having breakfast in Jaipur hotel, head towards the Shekhawati region known for its frescoes as well as for its 18th century mansions ‘havelis’. On the way to Mandawa, you will pass through Nawalgarh village. Watch lively and relaxed lifestyle of the villagers and enjoy the practicing simplicity. In Nawalgarh, see the mansions of rich merchants. These rich merchants had abandoned their houses few centuries back. The havelis are painted tastefully and are preserved till date. Arrive at Mandawa by noon. Check in at the hotel, have lunch and proceed on for exploring the ‘Open Art Gallery’ as Mandawa is known across the globe among the tourists. Meandering through the alleys of Mandawa, watch frescoed havelis. The subjects of the mural frescoes have largely been inspired by stories and characters Hindu epics like Ramayana & Mahabharata. Castle Mandawa is also worth watching and staying. It has been converted into premium heritage hotel.

Day 7

Mandawa – Delhi - Departure

Have delicious breakfast in Mandawa hotel and depart for New Delhi. It takes about 5 hours to reach Delhi.
