Day 1

Arrive Delhi

After traditional welcome at the New Delhi airport on your arrival, you will be transferred to Delhi hotel for overnight stay. It is assumed that normally international flights land in the evening or night

Day 2

Delhi city tour

Delhi, the capital city of India is a metropolitan of contrasts. Though Delhi is modern and full of life but it also follows its centuries -old tradition and shows its heritage, origins and legends. Day is entirely dedicated to the visit of the new and old parts of the city. After breakfast in Delhi hotel, proceed on for sightseeing in the company of a professional guide. Bangla Sahib Gurudwara , a Sikh temple, will be the first halt. Continue your drive to old Delhi to visit Red Fort , built by Shah Jahan and made of red sandstone. Opposite Red Fort is Jama Masjid , the largest mosque in India with impressive marble domes. Rummage through the adjoining 400 years old market called Chandani Chowk on a man-pulled rickshaw. The next stoppage is Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was cremated here. Close to Raj Ghat is Akshardham Temple. Visit this Nagara style of temple architecture and appreciate the sculpture and finesse. In the afternoon, visit New Delhi which reflects the British legacy. Prime monuments of colonial era: India Gate, Parliament and President House. These monuments are viewed from a distance. The last monument to be visited in Delhi is Qutub Minar, India's highest stone tower (73 meter high).

Day 3

Delhi – Agra – Agra city tour

After breakfast at the hotel, travel towards Agra. On the periphery of Agra is mausoleum of It-Mad-ud-Daula, a source of inspiration for marble work in Taj Mahal. Agra tour guide will accompany you there. Tomb of It-Mad-ud-Daula is also known as Baby Taj. It was built by Nur Jahan in memory of his father. Having visited Baby Taj, you will be transferred to Agra hotel to check in, relax and have lunch. Now, in the afternoon, visit the city, especially the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays), one of the Seven Wonders of the World, a famous white marble mausoleum dotted with semi-precious stone inlays, built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, and the Agra Fort, one of the most impressive examples of Mughal architecture. Explore local market for marble souvenirs. Later, in the evening, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Agra- Fatehpur Sikri – Abhaneri – Jaipur

After scrumptious breakfast in Agra hotel, drive towards Jaipur. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city in perfect condition, full of fortified palaces and mosques, built in 1574 but later abandoned for lack of water. Continue your drive towards Pink City of Rajasthan. About 77 kms before Jaipur is an ancient village Abhaneri that once used to be capital of Gurjar king Mihir Bhoj. Abhaneri offers opportunity to see 8th century AD Chand Baori and Harshat Mata temple. Continue your drive and on reaching Jaipur, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Jaipur city tour

Jaipur is the capital city of the desert state of Rajasthan. The kingdoms of Rajasthan are a great legacy in history. Rajasthan is a land full of invincible forts, magnificent palaces, landscapes of dunes and serene lakes. Jaipur is also called as Pink City, so named because of the color of the stone used in the vast majority of its buildings. After breakfast, proceed on an excursion to the Amber Fort. Ascending to its main gateway (locally called ‘pol’) on the back of an elephant will be an exotic India experience. Watch Amber Fort from close quarters and admire the palaces, courtyards and lobbies of this magnificent palace, which still retains all the splendor of the past. Return to Jaipur city centre to watch the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory. First visit the City Palace that houses a fabulous collection of weapons, paintings, manuscripts, royal costumes and other objects from the time of the Maharaja. Adjoining the City Palace is Jantar Mantar, a solar observatory, built in 1728. The last iconic monument of the cluster is Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, a stone-built façade to allow royal ladies to see market and processions without being seen themselves. Explore the market known for jewellery, crafts, carpets, leather goods, printed clothes etc. Late afternoon, you will be shown Birla Temple. Attend aarti and return back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6

Jaipur- Goa (by flight)

After breakfast in Jaipur hotel, you will be in-time transferred to Jaipur airport to board flight for Goa. Goa is located between Maharashtra and Karnataka, on the coast of the Arabian Sea, some 400 km south of Mumbai. It is the smallest of the Indian states in geographical area and the fourth lowest in population, but it is the richest state in India on per capita GDP basis. Its official language is Konkani, but Portuguese is still spoken, due to the rule of Portugal in the region for more than 400 years. Its churches and convents are classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. On arrival at Goa, your reception, welcome and transfer to the hotel will be made by our representative. Spend the rest of day in leisure and have night stay in Goa hotel.

Day 7

Goa tour

Have relaxed breakfast and relax on the sandy beach. Early afternoon, a guided tour of Goa is scheduled. Old Goa, locally called Velha Goa, will be the region of exploration. Velha Goa was the entrenched old Portuguese colony where some old buildings were converted into museums. Here, the influence of the Portuguese presence in its streets, squares and monuments is evident. You shall be visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus - a place of pilgrimage for Christians because it contains the remains of S. Francisco Xavier. Cathedral of Saint Catherine, the largest church in Asia with 14 altars, and the Fontainhas neighborhood are also visited. The visit ends in Panjim, the capital of Goa, where you will have free time for shopping. Later, in the evening, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8

Goa- free day

The day has been kept free for your own modes of relaxation or leisure. Goa has countless gems: picturesque countryside, good beaches, old Portuguese-style houses and churches, historical monuments, abundant seafood and a pleasant ambience. Overnight stay is scheduled in the hotel.

Day 9

Goa – Mumbai- Mumbai tour- Departure

In the morning, board your flight for Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai, you will be received by our representative and introduced with local tour guide. You shall be visiting several interesting tourist attractions of Mumbai like Dhobi Ghat (a gigantic open-air laundry), Gandhi Memorial known as Mani Bhawan, Hanging Gardens, Marina Drive (the seafront off the Arabian Sea), Malabar Hill, Victoria Terminus Station, the Gateway of India (an impressive Arch overlooking the harbor, built to commemorate the visit of King George V of England in 1911) and the Museum of the Prince of Wales. Having explored Mumbai to a greater extent, enjoy dinner in a nice city restaurant. Later, you will be transferred to the airport depending upon your flight schedule.
