Bhenswara is a village in the Jalore district of Rajasthan. The village is popular for its old castle, now converted into a heritage hotel. Ravla Bhenswara was built about 240 years ago by Thakur Jagat Singhji Rathore of Champawat clan, who received the land as a pledge of appreciation by Maharaja Man Singh ji to save his life. Each subsequent leader changed the Ravla to his own taste and liking. Thakur Madho Singh Ji (1922-1996) added many modern comforts into it.

The only historical monument in Bhenswara is the royal castle which is now a heritage hotel. During a trip to Bhenswara, accommodation is provided in the beautiful Bhenswara Castle and one can visit it by staying here. Among the other things one can explore is the traditional life and culture of the Rabaris (shepherds). A guide from the hotel accompanies one during village walk and helps communicate with the villagers.

At Bhenswara, a visitor can have a safari in a jeep to explore the countryside around the village. During the safari a dinner can be arranged in the fields. During the course of jeep safari of the countryside, one will see different activities of the villagers and also watch the diverse species of animals and birds. One can also spot the panthers during the safaris in Bhenswara.

This village is located in the western part of Rajasthan where summers are comparatively warm. The best time to visit Bhenswara is between October and March. The daytime temperature is normal during this period and it will be comfortable to walk in the countryside.
