On the Jhalawar Kota road, just 6 km from the town of Jhalawar stands a beautiful wooden hut- Rain Basera- on the banks of the Kishan Sagar. Maharaja Rajendra Singh brought Rain Basera from an exhibition in Lucknow. It was originally built by the Forest Research Institute of Dehradun. The construction, including the cost of transport and resettlement of the cottage, amounted to Rs. 50,000.
