Day 1

Arrival Kochi (Cochin)

On arrival, you will be received and transferred to hotel. Kochi (Cochin) is commercial capital of Kerala and also famous for its best preserved Asian Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace and the oldest Church in India - the Church of San Francisco, where Vasco de Gama was buried. Visit Fort Cochin and watch the Chinese fishing nets still being employed. In the evening, attend the traditional Kathakali dance show. Overnight stay is scheduled in Kochi hotel.

Day 2

Cochin - Munnar

Munnar, one of the most beautiful and popular hill stations in India, is at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. During British Raj in India, Munnar used to be a favorite hill resort of the British officials in south India. After breakfast in Cochin hotel, depart for Munnar, Kerala’s best hill station known for its scenic beauty, tea plantations, waterfalls, wildlife etc. The road to Munnar meanders through enchanting landscape. On arrival at Munnar, check in at the hotel to relax a bit. Later on proceed on for exploring Munnar. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Later in the evening return to hotel to spend evening in leisure and have overnight therein.

Day 3

Munnar

After scrumptious breakfast, move on for sightseeing of Munnar. Munnar is visited by adventurists and animal lovers to spot an endangered species of mountain goat – Nilgiri Tahr. Proceed to Rajamalai in Idukki district to spot Nilgiri Tahr. See Tea Museum, tea & spice plantations and evergreen forests. Having enjoyed nature’s exploration leisurely, return to hotel to relax and have overnight stay therein.

Day 4

Munnar - Periyar

After delicious breakfast, depart for Periyar / Thekkady. Periyar, named after Periyar River, is one of best rated and kept wildlife sanctuaries in India. On arrival, check in at pre-reserved hotel / resort. After a short break, continue for wildlife exploration. The best way is to have a boat cruise on Periyar Lake, inside the wildlife sanctuary, while observing flora and fauna of the sanctuary. Here you can see a variety of wildlife, including wild elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boars and various species of birds. Later, in the evening, return to the resort / hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Periyar - Kumarakom

After scrumptious breakfast, depart for Kumarakom. Kumarakom is located on the banks of Lake Vembanad. Kumarakom, a magnificent little island in Kottayam district of Kerala, is known worldwide for its exotic migratory birds and well in place self-sufficient hospitality ecosystem is well in place. Kumarakom has emerged as a highly popular tourist destination for leisure, backwaters & Aurveda rejuvenation therapy. On arrival, check in at the hotel. The whole day has been kept free to indulge in leisure activities like kettuvalam (local boats) ride to see Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, lazing on the beach, getting rejuvenated by Ayurvedic massage, observing breathtaking view of the lake during sunset that leaves one stunned. Overnight stay is scheduled in the hotel.

Day 6

Kumarakom - Alleppey

After breakfast, drive from Kumarakom to Alleppey, the most famous destination for its backwaters and heavenly houseboat stay. Stay on floating and cruising houseboats is the perfect way to experience the backwater lifestyle of Kerala. The long day trip in the backwaters of Kerala is the only way to explore what God has written in this truly poetic version. On arrival, you will be directly transferred to board houseboat. Your lunch, hi-tea, dinner and breakfast are scheduled onboard. Tantalize your taste buds with Kerala style lunch. Savor salty dishes like sambar, a hearty vegetable stew, variety of seafoods, vegetable, coconut curry, papad (a South Indian pie), and payasam (a cardamom-flavored rice pudding), raisins, saffron, cashew nuts and pistachios. As you cruise along, observe life in the backwater villages of Alleppey - the canals strewn with houses, rice paddies, coconut palms, markets and temples. Day 7

Poovar

In the morning after breakfast drive to Poovar. Upon arrival check-in at the beach resort. The rest of the day is free to explore and enjoy the tranquility of the beach. Nightstay is scheduled in the beach resort.

Day 8

Kumarakom - Alleppey

The whole day has been kept free for leisure. You have an option to take an excursion to the southern-most land mass of India, Kanyakumari, where the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal converge with one of the most spectacular scenery to be seen. If you choose to go to Kanyakumari, visit Vivekananda Rock and Kumari Amman Temple. Overnight stay is scheduled in Poovar resort.

Day 9

Poovar - Trivandrum - Departure

After delicious breakfast, check out from Poovar resort and depart for Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram). Sightseeing tour of Thiruvananthapuram includes Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, Napier Museum and local colorful market. After sightseeing of Trivandrum, you will be transferred to Trivandrum airport or train station for the trip back to your home.

We would require 50% advance payment to secure your bookings and process the file. We accept bank transfers and payment by credit cards through PAYPAL international payment gateway only. Balance amount needs to be paid on arrival in India by cash, Traveller’s Cheques or credit cards. All credit card payments are subject to 4.88% bank fees.

Cancellation Terms:

50% cancellation if cancelled within 45 days.

75% cancellation if cancelled within 30 days.

100% cancellation if cancelled 15 day or less.
