Having enjoyed delicious breakfast, proceed on for leisure but extensive sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Among the prime attractions to be visited are Trashichhoedzong, Changangkha Lhakhang and King’s Memorial Chorten. Trashichhoedzong, summer residence of Chief Abbot and central Buddhist monk body, is a fortress com monastery, housing various government offices as well. Built in 12th century and offering magnificent view of Thimphu valley, Changangkha Lhakhang is a grand fortress temple housing 11 headed statue of Chenrezig. King’s Memorial Chorten , a relatively modern era monument, is dedicated to world peace and prosperity. On the way to Chorten, visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang). Pay your obeisance and offer prayers to the Buddha, the largest statue in the country and then walk around and take a glimpse of the valley. In addition to it, you can visit National Library, the Institute for Zorig Chusum (commonly known as the Painting School) & Textile Museum.
Later, return to hotel to spend time in leisure and have overnight stay in hote.
