The main fascinating attraction of Agra is magnificent Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal, a truly eternal beauty, is a monument dedicated to love, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

On arrival at the International Airport of Delhi (usually in the evening), you will be greeted by our staff and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2

Delhi tour

After breakfast, depart from the hotel for the visit of Delhi, capital of India. Explore the multi-faceted metropolis. You will first go to the 17th century Jama Masjid. It is without doubt the largest and most beautiful mosque in India. Then you will go through the Chandni Chowk on a manually-pulled rickshaw. Thereafter, visit Red Fort or Lal Qila of Delhi, located right in front of the Jama Masjid. Continue driving to India Gate. From a distance watch and photograph President House and Parliament House. Have lunch in a nice restaurant and then proceed for visiting Akshardham Temple, built as per classical Nagar style of temple architecture. Lastly, move for visiting Qutub Minar complex, the place where rust-free Iron Pillar of 6th century is standing in the open. Later, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

New Delhi -Jaipur - Jaipur tour

After breakfast, head for Jaipur. In the heart of the Aravilli hills, the pink capital of Rajasthan welcomes you with its legendary hospitality. The walls and doors of the pink painted enclosure gave Jaipur its nickname of "pink city". The streets are full of life and in the markets the shops are packed with jewels, paintings, sculptures and colorful fabrics. On arrival at Jaipur, check in at the hotel, unwind, have lunch and proceed for sightseeing of the Pink City that includes City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. In the afternoon you will visit the "Jantar Mantar" (Solar Observatory) & the City Palace in pink sandstone and white marble by the astronomer king Jai ​​Singh II. The City Palace of Jaipur has been turned into a museum by the last Maharaja and contains a fine collection of weapons and costumes. Proceed to explore buzzing market. On the way, see Hawa Mahal (the five-storey Palace of Winds). Having explored market, you will be taken to Govind Dev Ji temple in the evening to attend the deity worship ceremony, called Aarti. Later in the evening, return to hotel for overnight.

Day 4

Jaipur heritage tour

Today on the chart is visit to Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum and Birla Temple. After breakfast, continue to the old fortress of Amber located on the mountainside. The last stretch of road will be traversed on the back of a caparisoned elephant. It is curious to see the painted Ganesh Gate and the Sheesh Mahal (the Palace of Mirrors) in Amber Fort. Thereafter visit Jaigarh Fort, home to destroyed foundry, largest canon of the world- Ramban and a weapons museum. Thereafter, return to the city. On the way, stop to view Jal Mahal from lakeside. In the city, after lunch, visit Albert Hall, now called Central Museum of Jaipur. In the evening, attend ‘aarti’ in Birla Temple. Overnight stay has been scheduled in Jaipur hotel.

Day 5

Jaipur – Abhaneri – Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

After breakfast in Jaipur hotel, depart in the morning for Agra. On the way, you will be visiting Abhaneri village, famous for 9th century ‘baori’, Harshat Mata temple and traditional lifestyle of Indian villagers. Next stop is Fatehpur Sikri, abour 40 kms prior Agra. It was Fatehpur Sikri where the Mughal Emperor Akbar built his new residence in 1571 AD in honor of Sufi saint Salim Christi. You will also visit the Victory Gate "Buland Darwaza", the tomb of Salim Christi and several palatial buildings. Later proceed on for Agra. On arrival, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6

Agra - New Delhi – Cochin (by air)

The city of Agra recalls the splendor of yesteryear. In the morning, visit Taj Mahal, accompanied by Agra tour guide. Taj Mahal, a white marble tomb, is an architectural wonder of the world. Return to hotel to have breakfast and to check out. Depart for New Delhi. On the way, visit stronghold of the Mughal Empire, the Red Fort, classified as UNESCO World Heritage site. Agra Fort is considered as one of the most significant and largest fort of India. Admire the white marble courtrooms, pavilions and octagonal jasmine tower. From there, Shah Jahan, imprisoned by his own son Aurangzeb, devoured the sight of Taj Mahal, the mausoleum built for his late wife.

Day 7

Cochin – Kumarakom

After breakfast in Cochin hotel, head straight to Kumarakom which is home to rubber plantations and a beautiful bird sanctuary. Drive for two hours to reach Kumarakom. The road that passes through countryside offers picturesque view of Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom is reached weaving through rice fields and coconut plantations. A lake side resort, Kumarakom is famous for its bird sanctuary, houseboat stay and backwaters. Now-a-days, it has emerged as a great centre of Ayurvedic rejuvenation therapy. On arrival at Kumarakom, you will be transferred to the pre-booked hotel to spend day in leisure with options to hire small boat to explore villages, observe bird sanctuary, laze on the beach and enjoy Ayurveda massage at your own discretion and expense. Overnight stay is scheduled in Kumarakom hotel.

Day 8

Kumarakom - Alleppey

Having breakfast in Kumarakom hotel, depart for only an hour long journey to Alleppey. The town of Alleppey, located on the Arabian Sea, is known as the Venice of the East because of its numerous canals that wind through the entire city. Taking a bath in the backwaters of Lake Vembanad is most refreshing. Every year, in the month of August, a Snake-shaped boats’ race is held. Rechristened as Alappuzha, Alleppey is also known for cashew nuts, coconut fiber trade, paddy fields and pepper plantations. On arrival at Alleppey, you will be directly transferred to the houseboat. The stay in houseboat is on full-board basis. Home to a network of hundreds of kilometers of backwater canals in the heart of Kerala, the city enjoys a unique position in India's tourism record. Day 9

Alleppey – Cochin (Kochi) - Departure

In the morning, post-breakfast, the transfer to Cochin will take place, to go on a tour of Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala. It is a natural port formed by the submerged mud banks of Malabar, whose quality ensures that, no matter how rough the sea is, the water of the port remains calm. It also has a Jewish synagogue, Portuguese churches, mosques and Hindu temples. Here you can also see the famous Chinese fishing nets. After sightseeing of historical monuments and cultural attractions of Cochin, explore leisurely the spice market.
