Rewalsar is a famous and holy village, situated on the banks of a lake. Though three religions – Hindu, Sikh & Buddhist-share this venerated place, but the Tibetan Buddhists consider it holier than other Buddhist destinations in the province. This is where the celebrated Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) started his mission of spreading Buddhism in Tibet.
