Shimla – Chail – Mashobra – Shimla
After breakfast, you will be taken to two nearby hill resorts – Chail and Mashobra. Both the places are known for their natural beauty with authentic heritage.
Chail is a quaint hill resort in the vicinity of Shimla. Located 44 km from Shimla, Chail is home the world’s highest cricket ground, built in 1893. Enchanting landscape, green forests and salubrious ambience are hallmarks of Chail. The Chail Palace, built by the Maraja of Patiala, used to be summer palace and is quite distinct for its architecture. In the night, Chail offers a great view of Kasauli and Solan from the top.
Mashobra, often called ‘The Quieter Shimla, is located 12 km from Shimla amidst lush green escapade. Dense and sumptuous vegetation make it a natural home of a large variety of fauna and avifauna. It is one of the two Presidential Retreats in India. President of India is said to visit Mashobra at least once in a year.
Late afternoon, return to Shimla. Explore on foot the Ridge, known for its colourful market. Overnight stay is scheduled in Shimla hotel.
