Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by our representative to take you to the Kathmandu hotel.

Kathmandu is one of the most popular tourist destination enlisted in the World Heritage Sites. The central Durbar Square is the prime attraction of Kathmandu. In the close vicinity of Durbar Square lie the Royal Palace (Hanuman Dhoka), several ancient and religiously sacrosanct temples, the Kumari Chowk or Kumari Bahal (House of the Living Goddess) and the Kasthamandap (House of wood). The importance of the Kashtamandap can be understood by the fact that from this architectural masterpiece Kathmandu derived its present name. An inquisitive exploration in the Durbar Square reveals the ancient art and architecture of Nepal which has proved to be a masterpiece to everyone accepting its genuineness.

A brief introduction about the whole tour and Nepal will be given to you. With a history of approximate 2500 years, Kathmandu is a cosmopolitan cultural city as religious and cultural festivals form the major part of people's lives there. You will see the old history and modern development binding perfectly together offering the city an enchanting appeal for tourists.

Day 2

Morning Flight over Everest + Kathmandu sightseeing

Early in the morning, you will be taken to the airport to board flight to fly over various Himalayan peaks, including the world’s highest mountain peak – the Everest. These flights are conducted either by plane or by helicopter. In case of airplane, there will be no landing at Mount Everest base camp. It will be a simple flight passing over the Everest and lasts for almost an hour. Another flight takes place by the helicopter. The helicopter lands at the base camp close to the Everest. A tourist steps down ther, takes breakfast, spends some time and captures beautiful views in his/her camera.

After returning from Everest Flight, relax a bit in the hotel & proceed on for a full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu with a professional guide. Among various attractions, you will be visiting Kashthamandap Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa & Museum, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Swayambhunath Stupa is at the top which has two giant Buddha eyes and eyebrows painted on. Kashthamandap Durbar Square is a complex of ancient palaces. In the early 1970's, it was the center for hippies. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu with many Buddhists and Tibetan resident in the surrounding area.

After sightseeing of the historical, religious and cultural monuments of Kathmandu, visit Thamel which is famous for its nightlife. Thamel has been the tourist center of Kathmandu for decades and the tourist heaven for some low-budget travelers. An amount of small shops lined on the narrow streets. They sell everything from food, clothes to handicrafts and budget hotels etc. There are also many good restaurants. Visit Thamel to observe the local lives and shop before moving to the hotel.

Later in the evening, return to Kathmandu hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Kathmandu – Bhaktapur – Nagarkot

After breakfast in Kathmandu hotel, check out and drive for Nagarkot. On the way to Nagarpur is located a historical town Bhaktapur. The ancient town of Bhaktapur is famous for its rich culture, temple, and wood, metal and stone artwork. You will witness unique culture and finest display of craftsmanship. Bhaktapur is the only place in Nepal which has remained untouched by western culture. Lion Gate, Golden Gate, Art Gallery, Statue of King Bhupatindra, Nyatapol Temple, Changunarayan Temple (world heritage sites) and fifty-five windowed Malla Palace are the living prides of Bhaktapur.

Having explored famous historical monuments of Bhaktapur, post lunch, continue your drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is set amidst an idyllic setting amidst thickly forested hills of pine trees. The destination is known world-over for its enchanting Himalayan views. It’s mesmerizing to behold the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayan peaks.

On arrival at Nagarkot, check in at the hotel to spend rest of the day in leisure and have overnight stay.

Day 4

Nagarkot - Patan City sightseeing tour - Kathmandu – Departure

It is said that the sunrise view is mesmerizing in Nagarkot. After enjoying delicious breakfast in the hotel, leisurely enjoy the beautiful scenery and pleasant ambience of Nagarkot. Late morning, check out from the hotel and drive towards Kathmandu. A short detour to Patan city is planned. Patan city is an ancient heritage city in the south-central part of Kathmandu Valley.

Patan is separated by Bagmati River from the city of Kathmandu. Patan is known for its rich cultural heritage, like the traditional arts and crafts. It is believed that the city was originally designed in the shape of Buddhist Dharma Chakra (the wheel of righteousness). There are four stupas around each corner of Patan, which were built by the Indian emperor Ashoka. There are many monuments of various shapes and sizes scattered in and around the city, like temples, palaces, ancient houses and old alleyways etc. Among them, the Durbar Square is the most important site, which houses the Krishna Temple, Golden Temple statues of bronze.

Having seen Patan city, proceed to Kathmandu. You will be in-time (as per your flight time) transferred to Kathmandu airport to board flight for your onward destination.
