Day 1

Arrival in Mumbai

You will be welcomed at Mumbai airport / railway station by our representative and transferred to pre-booked Mumbai hotel. Mumbai, located on the shores of the Arabian Sea, is not only commercial hotbed of India but also is the home to Bollywood. The city, capital of Maharashtra, is connected with all parts of India & the world. Depending upon the time of arrival and your wish, you can explore nearby markets and / or Juhu Beach. Leisurely explore some aspects of Mumbai and relish delicious local cuisines. Taste ‘bhel-puri’ on the sea shore while watching pleasantly molten- red sunset for authentic experiences of Mumbai. Day 2

Mumbai city tour

Soon after breakfast, proceed on for visiting historical & religious monuments, museums, markets and major highlights. Among the prominent attractions to be visited are Gateway of India , Prince of Wales Museum , Mani Bhawan, Victoria Terminus (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Railway Station), Nariman Point, Marine Drive, Chowpati Beach & Hanging Garden. Victoria Terminus is a fine example of British colonial era Victorian-Gothic style architecture and sculpture. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Another monument of British time, Gateway of India was built to welcome King George V of England. It was the same place from where the last British troops departed after India’s independence. Marine Drive is three and a half kilometer long palm-lined boulevard along the semi-circle shaped sea bay. Built in Indi Sarsenic style, Prince of Wales Museum is a rich repertoire of heritage of India. Mani Bhawan is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. There will be several places like Dhobi Ghat, Dharavi, Crawford Market etc which you will see while driving past. Overnight stay is scheduled in Mumbai hotel.

Day 3

Mumbai - Elephanta cave temples - Departure

Have early breakfast in Mumbai hotel, check out and proceed towards Gateway of India. Adjacent to the gateway is a jetty from where the steamers & motor-boats ferry traveler to-and-fro Mumbai & Elephanta. Elephanta Island, locally known as Gharapuri, is a major tourist attraction for its amazing rock-cut temples. As per the archaeological studies, Elephanta cave temples were carved out in 4th century. Gharapuri was named Elephanta by the Portuguese who found a stone elephant at the landing. It was actually statue of elephant headed god Lord Ganesh. The remnant of the elephant idol can be seen in Victoria Gardens, to where it was removed. An hour’s launch ride brings you to a pleasant world of ancient architecture and sculptures. From the top of the hill one gets a fine view of the sea and distant city. Visit this marvelous heritage of India. Late afternoon, board ferry to come back to Mumbai. On arrival at Gateway of India, you will be in-time transferred to Mumbai airport / railway station.

Delhi

On arrival at New Delhi airport, you will be greeted & assisted by Optima India Tourism's representative. You will be transferred to Delhi hotel. Our representative will ensure smooth check in at the hotel. As most of the international flights land in India at late night, so have sound sleep in Delhi hotel to get relaxed for the sightseeing tour of Delhi next day.

We would require 50% advance payment to secure your bookings and process the file. We accept bank transfers and payment by credit cards through PAYPAL international payment gateway only. Balance amount needs to be paid on arrival in India by cash, Traveller’s Cheques or credit cards. All credit card payments are subject to 4.88% bank fees.

Cancellation Terms:

50% cancellation if cancelled within 45 days.

75% cancellation if cancelled within 30 days.

100% cancellation if cancelled 15 day or less.
